Bernard started by using a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3tjvMfu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">laser level<\/a> to locate the width of the space where we were installing the wood panels. There were 3 options we considered when it came to securing the wood panels. We could use liquid nails, brad nails, or screws. If using liquid nails, we&#8217;d need the backing to prevent ruining our drywall, should we decide to remove the panels at a later time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns no-bottom-margin is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1058\" height=\"1411\" src=\"https:\/\/neatlyliving.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Diningroom-panelwall-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5066\"\/><figcaption>Shop 1\/4 in. Not to mention, Bernard could just <a href=\"https:\/\/rstyle.me\/cz-n\/g46b4bcu5bx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">brad nail<\/a> the wood panels along the ends which would be covered with <a href=\"https:\/\/rstyle.me\/+1ecTxQNXmKEB5ez7SNVXlg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">corner moulding<\/a>. I will have to limit myself when using this <a href=\"https:\/\/rstyle.me\/+5ncoUsofyFsckzLg3vqbcQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">LVP flooring<\/a>, as wood panels, because it&#8217;s addictive! It was a fantastic idea, but we lost a day on this project when we ran into some issues! First, the moulding he made was too thin, which we didn&#8217;t discover until all the pieces were glued onto the wood panels. The glue couldn&#8217;t hold them in and when he tried brad nailing, it split the trims! <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our solution was to cut thicker strips of moulding. Bernard screwed them on top of the existing moulding which then created a double-trim detail that I love! Talk about a happy accident! I had a very specific vision and it was really important to me that we got it right. Having a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3tjvMfu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">laser level<\/a> is a must for this part of the project because it guided Bernard through the taping process. You&#8217;ll notice several different colors of painter&#8217;s tape used. The <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3UO4Q3b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">green tape<\/a> is best for our textured walls, however, the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3EkJNzV\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">yellow<\/a> and blue tape were better for delicate areas like our ceiling.
